New Director of Spiritual Care Department

Lourdes is pleased to announce that
Mary Alice Westerlund has been appointed the permanent Director of
the Spiritual Care Department, effective June 14, 2010.
Mary Alice joined Lourdes, as a full
time evening Chaplain, on September 15, 2008. For the past
three months, she has served as the Interim Director of the
Spiritual Care Department.
Mary Alice has a Bachelor of Science
in Social Work from Rochester Institute of Technology and received
her Masters in Pastoral Studies from St. Bernard's School of
Theology and Ministry in 2005. She completed a Chaplain
Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Mary
Alice is a Board Certified Chaplain and a member of the National
Association of Catholic Chaplains.
A native of Baldwinsville, NY, Mary
Alice moved to Rochester to pursue her education. Mary Alice
has served as a Rehabilitation Counselor and was also very active
in her Parish, teaching religious education. Mary Alice, and
her husband Earl, now live in Binghamton, close to Lourdes
Hospital.
