Support Groups

Whether you're facing cancer or you're a family member, friend, or caregiver of someone facing cancer, there are a variety of support groups available to provide education and encouragement.

Breast Cancer Support Group

This support group is for newly diagnosed patients with breast cancer as well as those well into survivorship. This support group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Lourdes Breast Care Center.

I Can Cope

Educational program for people facing cancer - either personally, or as a friend or family caregiver.  A four session program offered 4-6 times a year. Sessions are usually held on Tuesdays from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM with lunch included. Each session has a specific topic related to coping with cancer. Co-sponsored by Lourdes and the American Cancer Society.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Family Support Group

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Family Support Group is for patients diagnosed with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease, and Myeloma. Patients, families, and friends are invited to attend.

Look Good...Feel Better, Support Program

This is an American Cancer Society (ACS) program for female cancer patients and run by a licensed cosmetologist. The program offers skin care and make up tips to assist women in coping with the physical changes of their treatment.

Look Good... Feel Better is offered on the second Monday of each month from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Lourdes Hospital in the East-West Dining Room.

Man to Man Support Group

This is an American Cancer Society (ACS) support group for prostate cancer patients. The goals of the Man to Man Support Group are:

  • Patient Education - provide accurate information about diagnosis and treatment options for prostate cancer.
  • Support - provide support, encouragement, and solutions to common problems associated with prostate cancer.
  • Awareness - promote awareness of prostate cancer as a major health care concern for all men.

Man to Man offers education and support, not medical advice. This support group has a policy of confidentiality so that members feel comfortable to talk openly and honestly. The Man to Man support group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Lourdes Lecture Hall.
