It's hard to believe, but the holiday season is upon us once
again. At this time of year, many faiths observe and commemorate
their beliefs. With this abundance of celebrations and holidays
comes a time to give pause and thanks.
Here at Lourdes, our celebration of Christmas allows us to focus
on our faith and the love and giving it represents. We refl ect on
the possibilities and opportunities we have to serve our community
and to recognize and thank all of you who serve this wonderful
ministry.
Each year, thousands within our community come to Lourdes for a
special kind of caring. Our spiritually-based health care continues
to guide us in providing this compassionate, quality care.
Everyone who walks through our doors - a patient, family member,
visitor, physician, volunteer or associate - has the ability to
touch someone. Whether it is the privilege of caring for someone or
how we are touched ourselves through the healing ministry of
others, it all works to fulfi ll the Mission of Lourdes. We have
that distinct privilege and should never take that for granted, for
as it was said, "never underestimate the diff erence you make."
Thank you for making a diff erence in the lives you touch every
day.
As we prepare to refl ect on the past year and ring in the new
one, may you fi nd peace, love and joy in all that you do. Have a
Blessed Holiday, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
"It is Christmas every time you let God love others through
you...yes, it is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and
off er him your hand." - Mother Teresa
